MEDICAL SYRINGE Reusable TRAINER
The medical syringe reusable trainer is designed to educate users in the operation of the real device. The trainer simulates the look and feel of the real medical syringe, does not have risks associated with accidental needle sticks or drug delivery, and is reusable with an easy reset procedure after each full operation.
I led the engineering development for the product and a follow-up product. Other internal team member include a Project Manager and Industrial Designer. Both products are currently in production, with a combined annual volume of 100,000 to 180,000 units shipped worldwide.
Activities I did include: Concept development and selection, CAD design (in SolidWorks), drawing packet, BOM, factory communication (including China factory onsite visits), and test fixture design and build. II also (with help from the PM) defined the product technical requirements, developed a test plan, protocol, and ran verification testing.
